Case study · Client work

Vellora Homewear: a store that feels like the product.

Vellora sells softness: pyjama sets, nightgowns and robes for women. The store had to carry that feeling in every pixel while doing the practical job of an online shop: show the collection, make choosing easy, and take the order without friction.

The project

Brand feeling first, without sacrificing the checkout.

01

The challenge

Homewear is bought on feeling. A generic store template would have made the product look like a commodity. The design had to be gentle and feminine while the underlying store stayed fast, clear and easy to buy from.

02

Strategy

A short, focused structure: Home, About, Shop, Contact. The homepage introduces the brand mood, presents the collection and moves the visitor into the shop within one scroll. Everything else lives in the product pages.

03

Design

A blush palette, a script display typeface paired with a clean sans for reading, soft photography and generous space. Product cards and buttons use the brand colour so the shop pages feel like the same world as the homepage.

04

Development

WooCommerce with a curated catalogue, product pages with clear pricing and options, cart and checkout, search, and a responsive build that keeps the softness on mobile where most of the audience browses.

05

SEO & performance

Clean product and category URLs, image compression to keep pages light despite the photography-led design, and caching configured for fast repeat visits.

06

Deliverables

A complete WooCommerce store with the brand identity carried through every page, ready for the product catalogue to grow.

Pages

A closer look.

The product is soft, so the store has to be soft. But softness is a design decision, not an excuse for a slow or confusing shop.
